The Ampthill vs Cancer 5K invites everyone to join a powerful community response on 28th June, whether you are from Ampthill or not, you can make a difference. Every step counts, with all proceeds going to local cancer charities to raise awareness, support families and fund vital research.
Located in the beautiful Ampthill Park, this event welcomes runners, walkers and supporters of all abilities. No matter your fitness level or connection to cancer, you can stand united against this disease. There will also be a runs for the kids (Golden Hare Mile and Mini Hare).
The day is more than a 5K, it's Ampthill Park filled with hope. It's catching up, showing support and being part of something local and genuine. It's a whole day dedicated to making things better and for you to enjoy a picnic in the park with live music, stalls, food, drink and much more.

//Course safety - signposts and enthusiastic marshals
//Medical provision at start, finish and on course
//Parking available - Ampthill Park in the West Car Park including overflow areas. When full, other parking will open (in this order) - Lawrence Park (Queensman FC), Ampthill Rugby Club and Alameda Sports Hall (gravel area only).
If you live locally you are strongly advised to walk to the event.
The venue
//The course is solely within Ampthill Park and although it mainly follows footpaths, there could be some trip hazards (i.e. tree roots) in places.
//No dogs are allowed to take part (apart from registered guide or hearing dogs)
//The Golden Hare Mile and Mini Hare (for the kids) will be in an open area of the park and supervised with lots of marshals. One adult can run with each child if you would prefer (just register the child please).
//Unlike last year, there will be alcohol on sale during the afternoon. However, you are still welcome to bring your own as part of the picnic.

Golden Hare Mile - £6.00
Mini Hare - £0 (please still register your little one)
Can I collect my number before the day?
Yes, we strongly recommend this. Please collect your number from The Social (Coffee Shop), Kings Arm Yard, Ampthill, from 08:00 on Monday 22nd June to 16:00 on Saturday 27th June during normal opening hours.
Please arrive in good time to register/collect your number (if not already done so) and warm up!
