The Cooldown – Family Fun and Live Music

Once the 5K and kids runs are finished, the day is far from over. The Cooldown is our community celebration. A relaxed, family‑friendly free event where everyone is welcome to be part of and enjoy the atmosphere.

Stay, relax and make a day of it!

It's time to unwind and enjoy a fantastic afternoon in the vicinity of Ampthill Town Cricket Club.

It’s all about good food, live music, local businesses and giving families a reason to stick around, enjoy the sunshine and support the cause.

There will be plenty more to get involved in throughout the afternoon, from entertainment to fundraising activities, including our charity raffle, helping us raise money for our chosen charities.

You are also very welcome to bring a picnic and your own alcohol too.

Live music

Live music, courtesy of Ampthill Music, will fill the air, featuring incredible local bands like Chalk and Cheese (& friends) and Aftertone.  Whether you’re discovering new favourites or singing along to well-loved covers, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Community raffle

Our community raffle is running all day at the Ampthill vs Cancer stall. Grab a ticket for a chance to win some brilliant local prizes, while helping support our work raising funds and awareness for cancer causes. It’s a simple way to get involved, have a bit of fun and give something back to the community.

Right next to the raffle, we're selling our Ampthill vs Cancer t‑shirts - if you took part in the 5K you'll already have one as a well done for finishing!

Pop over, say hello, pick up a shirt, and show your support. Every ticket and every t‑shirt sold helps make a real difference.
