PSA testing

At our charity match, we’re asking men aged 40 and over to take a couple of minutes to do something really important; take a PSA test. Prostate cancer often doesn’t show any signs early on, so getting checked can save your life.

And don’t worry, it’s only a simple 5 minute blood test. That’s it. Quick, straightforward and nothing to stress about. The medical team will be there to make it easy and answer any questions.

You’re already turning up to support a great cause, so why not look after yourself at the same time? Grab your mates, get signed up and let’s take care of our health together.

Booking your PSA test

//Please register and book your PSA test in advance (you can't turn up on the day without booking)
//PSA tests are for men aged 40 and over
//If you live in Bedfordshire, your PSA test will cost £12.50. Our friends from Beds Prostate Support Group offer a 50% discount if you live locally (tests normally cost £25)
//Ampthill vs Cancer will offer a full refund to the first 100 people that have booked their PSA test (the refund will be offered after the test)
//PSA testing will take place from 12:00 until 16:00 in the clubhouse within the ground

FAQ - PSA tests

Supporting the community

Following the success of our first event (Ampthill vs Cancer 5K) last June, members of our community have continued to step forward and fundraise for our cause.

The first to do so were Adem and his son Bailey, who took on the incredible challenge of the New York Marathon in October, raising over £1,000.

Adem was clear that he wanted the funds he raised to make a direct and immediate impact, and we were proud to make that happen. Thanks to their efforts, his fundraising has helped fund our contribution to the PSA testing, including covering the cost of free tests for the first 100 people to book.

In 2026, Ampthill vs Cancer will allocate a portion of the money raised to support the community directly. If you have any ideas on how we can support others, we would love to hear from you, please get in touch.

We are hugely grateful for the dedication, generosity and commitment shown by everyone who continues to support the cause.
