Help Us Choose Our 2026 Charity Partner

Following our promise to support local hospices, and after raising an incredible £8,000 for Willen Hospice in 2025, we’re proud to announce that our first confirmed charity partner for 2026 will be Keech Hospice Care. Keech provides compassionate specialist care for adults and children with life-limiting illnesses, supporting not only patients, but also their families and friends.

Now, we’re asking the community to help us choose our second charity partner for 2026.
During the Ampthill Christmas Lights Switch On, hundreds of you stopped by to cast your votes, but, if you didn’t get the chance, there’s still time to have your say as voting is open until Monday, 16th December 2025.

Here’s how your support will be shared in 2026

In 2026, half of all funds raised -50% – will go directly to the Ampthill vs Cancer Community Fund, helping to support local initiatives and individuals affected by cancer. A further 25% will be donated to Keech Hospice Care, and the remaining 25% will go to the charity chosen by you, through our community vote.

Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT)

Addenbrooke’s is the main regional cancer centre for our community and a leader in pioneering research and treatment. We proudly supported ACT in 2025, and they continue to raise vital funds for a new specialist cancer hospital focused on earlier detection and more personalised cancer care.

Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice

Located in Moggerhanger, Bedfordshire, Sue Ryder provides expert palliative and end-of-life care in both the hospice and the community. They help patients and their loved ones with everything from pain management to emotional and practical support.

Move Against Cancer

This Bedfordshire based charity exists to inspire, support and empower people to “move against cancer.” Their 5K Your Way initiative brings together people impacted by cancer to walk, jog, run, volunteer or simply connect, promoting movement, friendship, and wellbeing.
