The Ampthill Alchemist Launches Limited-Edition Candle in Support of Ampthill vs Cancer

In a powerful show of community spirit, The Ampthill Alchemist is releasing a special edition of its best-selling Amalfi Coast 180ml candle to help raise funds for Ampthill vs Cancer. 

From each candle sold, £5 will go towards the three charities that Ampthill vs Cancer is supporting: the Primrose Car Service (Bedford Hospital Charity & Friends) Willen Hospice, and Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT). These charities provide vital support for cancer patients and their families across the region – from free transport to treatment, to compassionate hospice care, and pioneering research at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

The exclusive Ampthill vs Cancer Amalfi Coast candle will make its debut at the Makers Market x The Ampthill Alchemist, taking place at Find Ampthill on Saturday 17th May, from 9:30am to 3:00pm. Following the launch, a limited number will be available online at www.theampthillalchemist.com.

With only a small batch produced, supporters are encouraged to purchase early to secure their candle and contribute to this meaningful local cause.

John Shipman, owner of The Ampthill Alchemist, has long been an advocate for supporting both local business and charity, and says this collaboration felt like a natural fit.

“We’ve all seen the devastation of cancer, and my family is no different,” said John. “But we’ve also seen how it can bring people together, and how communities rally around each other during what is often the worst time in their lives. That’s why Ampthill vs Cancer was a perfect fit. It’s for local people and supports local charities that are making a real difference.
